Getac PS236

The Getac PS236 is the first fully rugged handheld conforming to military standard MIL-STD-810G, demonstrating protection rating IP67 and offering high-speed HSDPA wireless network functions. The built-in GPS receivers electronic compass, altimeter and the 3 megapixel camera with auto-focus are integrated, making the PS236 a real jack-of-all-trades in field service, production and logistics, particularly in the most demanding and aggressive conditions - everything

Top performance is guaranteed, thanks to the integrated Marvell PX310 processor with 806 MHz, as well as the 128 MB RAM and 4 GB Flash 256 MB RAM and 8 GB Flash in the Android version. The integrated SD card slot expands this function on demand up to 16 GB memory, whereby complicated and detailed data processing and storage know no limits. The terminal comes equipped with Android 2.2 or Windows Mobile 6.1, which guarantees high compatibility and simple integration. All interfaces are included on the PS236 with the serial RS232 port, as well as USB OTG, the PS236 offers high compatibility and flexible connection possibilities in the most diverse areas of business use. The real-time data transfer via 3.5G WWAN HSDPA/WCDMA/EDGE/GPRS/GSM, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and the integrated, highly sensitive GPS receiver expand this functionality and ensure great flexibility in any situation.

The user can choose between three optional keyboard layouts for input the numerical keypad, the PDA keypad and the mobile telephone keypad. Users can also use the 8.9 cm 3.5 transreflective TFT LCD touch screen with 480x640 pixels VGA, which can also be perfectly read in direct sunlight or use the integrated 3 megapixel auto-focus camera for hands-free data collection. Two software features are available - the out-of-the-box, which increases the functionality many times over and the integrated Getac camera software, which complements the captured images with precise GPS datum and compass information, and allows for professional geotagging functions. Furthermore, the Getac barcode reader professionally and extremely efficiently interprets the captured information of 1D and 2D codes in milliseconds.

Dont worry about spare parts either. The PS236 offers an extraordinary battery life of up to ten hours Android version nine hours, thanks to its 5600 mAh lithium-ion battery. The device can be used all day should its resources be used up on the job though, you can operate the terminal with standard AAA batteries.

The IP67-certified PS236 can be used in a wide range of temperatures, is waterproof, impact-proof, and guarantees your field staff an effective work method, even under the most difficult of environments. Various accessories - such as an optional RFID reader - further expand the spectrum of applications in production, transport and logistics many times over. Just like all the other Getac rugged devices, the mobile data collection terminals are designed for a variety of critical working conditions. Upon request, you can receive the PS236 with an optional full ATEX certification - a European guideline for absolutely safe explosion protection.
